Cheap eats for Bahria, Air and NDU Students

Do you want a filling, delicious and of course, cheap meal to get you through the day? Many freshies ask me for recommendations for good spots around the university and the city, which they can afford. Well, as a student of Bahria University Islamabad that has lived in a hostel for the past 2 years and a half year, I have found that getting a fresh, delicious and cheap meal is possible in the following places:

New Quetta Café

First of all, if you are craving tea, biscuits and a full desi breakfast, New Quetta Café, Madina Market in F-8 Markaz. It is the ideal place for students like me who have not enough money to spend for refreshments. You can go there; we do not even need to travel by any sort of vehicle. It is just a few miles away from our universities and you can easily go by foot and enjoy the scenery. You don’t even need a vehicle! You can even go to Madina Park and walk and eat on your way.

What food they offer:

Tea, Coffee, Paratha, Pizza Paratha, Chocolate Paratha, Aloo Paratha, Cheese Paratha

Norani Restaurant

Another recommendation I would give if you want to eat desi food or BBQ I would suggest my fellow companions Norani Restaurant and BBQ located at F-8 Markaz. I know that one can’t eat fast food on every outing with their friends by keeping in mind this thing I opted out of this restaurant for desi food and BBQ. BBQ meats specifically offer so many health benefits too. By eating such kind of food our skin gets better, our hair and eyes gain more power and it helps our brain too. However, that does not mean that we should eat BBQ mindlessly, thus, it is important to keep a balance and not overeat. They Will offer all type of Desi Food

ManMoji

If you are in the mood of desi street food like fresh juices, milkshakes, channa chaat, fruit chaat, and dhai ballay or the like, I suggest to everyone out there the restaurant ManMoji refreshment center located at F8 Markaz Islamabad. The reason I choose this refreshment center are because of its location which is not far away from the universities located in E-9 and because again, it is within walking distance of the university. They offer all type of fast food

Stone Oven Pizza Valley

Now another option is the one for when friends or a university group plan for an outing once a week, to celebrate a birthdays or any special occasion. For this purpose, I recommend Stone Oven Pizza Valley located on 6^th road, Rawalpindi. This restaurant has a very nice and peaceful atmosphere where one can enjoy a good meal in a pleasant environment and enjoy a lot with friends out there. To go there we can get the advantage of metro bus service which runs from Islamabad’s Pak secretariat stop to Rawalpindi’s Saddar metro bus stop. To reach Stone Oven Pizza Valley, get off at the 6^th road metro bus station. From this station, Stone Ove Pizza valley is within walking distance. You can also book a Careem or Uber ride too but according to my experience and point of view, the Metro bus is a very safe and sound kind of travel.

Tayto Café

Well one of the first casual café dining restaurants in Pakistan, which gives a complete menu of five course meal options . Located in multiple areas in the twin cities. They aim to give the best taste according to the moods and preferences of the customers. The café ambiance is very rich and of course the take away option is rightly available. Talk about their special 350 ml large fresh fruit drink, well that’s too much right? It tastes absolutely amazing and fulfilling. They have many options available on the menu but you know every café has a special different ways of making a perfect pasta, well after personally trying multiple options in pastas and spaghetti I’ve got to say the chicken fettuccine is the best of all. The reviews of the restaurant is also remarkable and suggested a must try option.

 

Smokey Cauldron

How many theme based restaurants or cafes have you seen in Islamabad. Not so many right? Well if you’re a potter head like me and are looking forward to live in the world of Harry Potter. You must visit Smokey Cauldron located in F6 Markaz. Well growing up in the fantasy world of magic I always wanted to visit the restaurant until last year I decided to go there on my birthday, what other day would be so special? Well at the time they had super cost efficient deal on their stakes and my God I was thrilled to see the ambiance and of course the unique name they gave to their dishes in the menu. It was just as real as being in a Harry Potter book. Well a total recommendation for the people loving to live a fictional life.
