7 Common Problem Faced by Students | How to Deal with Them

Eating Healthy Food & Staying Healthy: -

Instead of eating organic and healthy food, students prefer to eat preservatives and fast food. Or some students even don’t bother to go and eat something, all they prefer to do is to sit and spend their precious time on social media.  This ratio is high on those students who live in hostels and far away from their families. The worse thing is that this lifestyle is becoming a trend in teenagers.

The reason is very common in almost every case. Instead of conservative food students prefer to do hang out with friends and eat fast food. Secondly, the marketing of these brands is very attractive among teenagers. The other reason is that those students who live in a hospital most of the time don’t match the schedule with the hostel routine, sometimes they are sleeping, sometimes they are involved in a study or not in a hostel.

  • To cope with this situation, individuals should align their schedule with the hostel schedule and start completing their university tasks from day one. In case if they are in university, they should prefer to eat organic food instead of fast or preservative food.

Relationships with Opposite Gender: -

It’s a natural phenomenon that humans in age between 18 – 30 are attracted more towards opposite genders. Like college, universities do have not any restrictions, students have the freedom to do whatever they want in terms of their dressing and hairstyle. Those students who get in a relationship will spend much of their time with each other rather than lecturing. Their top priority is to leave class and spend their time in the cafeteria, if they somehow come to class their only purpose is attendance. If these students come to take lectures, they will not be able to completely focus on lecturer words, because back in their mind a lot of other things happening in their mind or they lose interest in the lecture.

  • For relationship matters, students should make study their top priority. It is okay to be in a relationship, but sacrificing their study for relation is not a better choice. Students should clear their minds this academic tenure will be the foundation of their whole life. Hence they should relate positively and use it for an intellectual discussion and group study.

Bullying: -

In every class, a group of backbenchers will do all their assignments by bullying toppers. They simply give threats to toppers to do their task, if he doesn’t, they will beat him inside or outside of the university. Now topper in most cases is an innocent guy, he got feared and will do two different assignments, one for himself and the other for backbenchers.

  • Every student should be as much sharp that no one would use them for their sole interest. We should have the ability to say no backbenchers and can cope with the consequences. If we join some other groups and do more socializing slowly, we will get the ability to cope with the backbenchers.

Improper Sleep: -

Due to study burden or social gatherings, students who live in flats or hostels don’t complete their sleeping hours. These fewer sleeping hours make them mentally as well as physically weak.

Students who live in flats lived in a group of five to six people. Sometimes a friend of one of them from out of city and rest of roommates will also have to wake up till midnight. Sometimes any of the roommates have to do a party with his other friends that also rest of the roommates will have to make. Plus, by living like this all roommates have a habit to wake till midnight. So, it is very difficult for an individual to follow a proper sleeping pattern.

  • For proper sleep, students should make their timetable and strict to sit. To cope with all their task, students should write them on their homework copy and set a reminder for every day to remind them about tasks.

Poor Grades: -

Five to six students in every class have to leave university because of their bad grades or sometimes university drop them out because of their negligence to study. Some of the common factors are they spend more time on entertainment rather than studying. They prefer to spend their time with friends on hangout instead of preparing themselves for exams. Those don’t interested to come to class or even when they come into class, just to mark themselves present and leave the class. The last thing is those students who are in relationships with opposite genders, will also prefer to bunk their class and spend their time with each other.

  • To cope with poor grades students should do their meetup for study purposes every weekend. Through this way, they become more social with class fellows and at the end, they will learn something new related to their study.

Confidence in Presentation: -

From 1st grade till 12th-grade students don’t give any formal presentation. Those students who don’t participate in any functions till 12th grade have a lack of confidence. At the start, when they have to give a presentation, they cannot deliver a good presentation and attract the audience’s attention. Whenever they come on stage their heartbeat increase, instead of speaking clearly and starting mumbling. This will cause a loss of interest of the audience and other audiences, eventually, this will cause an individual bad grade.

  • To boost up confidence for presentation, besides practicing in Infront of the mirror, students should give a presentation in front of /her class fellow group members. Through this way along with confidence build-up, he or she will get to know about their mistakes with multiple numbers of people. Another advantage is we don’t get any hesitation in front of our friends and somehow, we will practice our presentation.

Skipping classes: -

When students come to class, a lot of delightful activities are happening from the main gate to campus classes like tournaments. Sometimes, students prefer to stay outside and enjoy themselves. By doing this, there can be a situation students miss some important class from the lecturer. If they do so there is a chance, they don’t fully understand the next lecture completely. There is also a probability students spend most of their time outside of class and just complete the formality of 75% attendance.

  • Instead of seeking pleasure in the short run, the students should see the consequences of skipping classes in long run. For practical experience, students should see the life of their seniors, who are involved in skipping classes.
